Kenwood Fire District Reorganization Into Sonoma Valley Fire District
Why the Reorganization: Since the early 1920's, the Kenwood Fire Department had been staffed with volunteers who lived in Kenwood. In the 1990's and early 2000's, existing volunteers were retiring and it became difficult to recruit new volunteers who lived in Kenwood.
